Director – Private Banker

About the role

Barclays is seeking a Director‑level Private Banker to lead and grow relationships with Ultra High Net Worth and Family Office clients in Singapore. The role focuses on delivering tailored banking and investment solutions while driving sustainable business growth for the Private Bank.

Key responsibilities

• Engage and attract UHNW and Family Office clients, managing complex, cross‑border banking and investment needs.
• Originate, develop and secure new client relationships through referrals, internal networks and Corporate & Investment Banking sources.
• Onboard new clients, ensuring solutions align with their needs and contribute to sustainable growth.
• Translate client opportunities into executable strategies, deploying resources efficiently to maximise commercial outcomes.
• Contribute to the Asia strategy for the Singapore Private Bank team, including client‑level planning and segment strategy.
• Ensure all activities comply with Barclays risk appetite, regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in relationship management with UHNW and Family Office clients.
• Proven ability to develop and execute growth strategies in a multi‑jurisdictional environment.
• Strong commercial judgement, risk awareness and adherence to compliance standards.
• Leadership capability to influence senior stakeholders and act as an ambassador for Barclays values.
