Accounting Manager (Controllership Focus)

About the role

Binance is seeking an Accounting Manager with a strong controllership focus to lead financial reporting and drive finance transformation initiatives. The role combines core accounting responsibilities with the opportunity to leverage AI, automation and data analytics to modernise finance processes within a leading blockchain ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Manage financial and management reporting, including cash flow, tax, GST, budgeting and statutory reporting.
• Prepare and review annual reports, statutory accounts and management reports.
• Perform and review revenue, balance‑sheet and intercompany reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and corporate governance requirements.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents and external advisors.
• Identify and deliver opportunities to automate, simplify and transform finance processes.
• Leverage AI, GenAI, automation, data analytics and technology to improve accounting efficiency, accuracy and scalability.
• Partner with Finance Systems, Data, Engineering and business teams to implement technology‑enabled finance solutions.
• Lead or support process improvement and finance transformation initiatives, challenging existing ways of working.
• Translate complex accounting requirements into practical, scalable solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy/Finance, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, consulting or finance transformation.
• Strong technical accounting, analytical and reconciliation skills.
• Experience in finance transformation, automation or consulting is highly preferred.
• Strong interest in AI, GenAI, automation, data and emerging finance technologies.
• Advanced MS Excel skills; ERP, BI, workflow automation or financial systems experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and project management abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment.
• Highly detail‑oriented, curious and willing to challenge the status quo.
