APAC Accountant – Financial Accounting & Reporting

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to support the financial accounting and reporting needs of our APAC entities. The role will involve end‑to‑end month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end processes, ensuring accurate records and timely delivery of statutory and group reports.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review month‑end journals, accruals, pre‑payments and supporting schedules for assigned APAC legal entities.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations, investigate reconciling items and ensure timely resolution.
• Support intercompany accounting, reconciliations and settlement activities across regional entities.
• Prepare management reporting schedules and assist with Group reporting requirements.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements and audit‑ready reconciliations.
• Coordinate responses to auditor requests and support local compliance reporting.
• Collaborate with the Group Tax team on VAT and local tax data checks.
• Coordinate with external accounting firms, auditors, tax advisers and company secretarial providers.
• Support supplier accounting processes, payment proposals, banking administration and cash‑management activities.
• Contribute to the standardisation of accounting processes, SOPs and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial accounting for APAC entities.
• Familiarity with statutory reporting, audit processes and tax compliance in the APAC region.
• Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate, audit‑ready records.
