Project Manager, Private Banking (6‑month renewable contract)

About the role

The role involves leading end‑to‑end delivery of complex projects and programmes across multiple business units within private banking. You will ensure projects align with strategic objectives and deliver measurable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of complex projects spanning multiple business units.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, resources, risks, issues, dependencies and change throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans covering all phases of delivery.
• Run day‑to‑day project activities, including working groups, steering committees and governance forums.
• Provide clear and timely status updates to senior leadership and business stakeholders.
• Identify and manage interdependencies across technology, operations and business functions.
• Monitor and control outcomes, resolving issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical‑path activities.
• Ensure delivery complies with project governance, stage‑gate controls and SDLC requirements.

Required profile

• Degree in an appropriate discipline or equivalent qualification.
• 9–12+ years of project management experience, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Proven experience leading large‑scale projects/programmes within private banking, wealth management or a similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of wealth management operations, investment products, services and business processes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects end‑to‑end in a lead project management capacity.
• Understanding of project governance, delivery methodologies, stakeholder management, risk and change management.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification is an advantage.
• Excellent executive‑level communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Confident, self‑motivated leader able to work independently and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
