Assistant Director, Jobs and Skills

About the role

The Assistant Director, Jobs and Skills leads the upskilling efforts in AI for the tech workforce in Singapore under the TechSkills Accelerator (TeSA), working with professional bodies, government agencies, leading companies, industry hubs, training providers and NTUC. The role reports to the Deputy Director and contributes to the National AI Impact Programme.

Key responsibilities

• Set the CET strategy, conduct research and analysis with industry and training partners, conceive programmes and set KPIs
• Identify quality partners, develop new projects and training plans with companies, industry hubs and training providers
• Manage internal project approvals, implementation, trainee and partner accounts, marketing campaigns and the CET website, track outcome indicators and support audits
• Drive the CET budget and manpower, and plan and run regular officer training with IMDA Academy
• Collect and analyse programme data, visualise dashboards, conduct business process re-engineering and build and maintain digital systems as product owner

Required profile

• Talent solution architect background or fast learning ability in emerging technologies, especially AI; applied AI x domain experience preferred
• Experience in the tech industry or public sector in industry development and manpower policy and planning, and in large-scale end-to-end programme implementation
• Ability to collaborate across teams, organisations and stakeholders, and to turn strategic issues into implementable programmes
• Experience building and leading teams of officers and leading cross-functional workstreams
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with strong self-motivation and adaptability
