Chef de Partie – Fine Dining Kitchen

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to join our fine‑dining kitchen at Akira Back, a flagship restaurant within Marriott International. You will be responsible for preparing high‑quality dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting the culinary team during busy service periods.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, substitute items and cold foods according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters, and manage food thawing from freezer storage.
• Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, garnish and maintain accurate food logs.
• Monitor food quality and quantity, communicate needs to the Chef, and inform service staff of menu specials and out‑of‑stock items.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling and employee coaching as needed.
• Follow all company safety, security and hygiene policies, report maintenance issues and maintain a clean, professional appearance.
• Perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting up to 25 lb, and reaching overhead or below the knees.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree in culinary arts or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant kitchen experience.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet physical demands of the role.
