Contract Manager (Construction, Infrastructure)

About the role

The Contract Manager will support the Managing Director in securing new business and will oversee the full contract lifecycle for construction and infrastructure projects, both locally and internationally. This role involves close collaboration with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure contractual compliance and financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Managing Director in responding to quotations and preparing pre‑tender documentation.
• Attend tender meetings, manage clarifications, amendments and support the award process.
• Prepare and control contract documents, reviewing commercial terms with clients and subcontractors.
• Support Project Managers in monthly progress payment preparation and claim submission.
• Attend site meetings, track variations, and maintain comprehensive records of design changes.
• Liaise with main contractors and client quality/safety teams on claims, negotiations and final account settlement.
• Prepare budgets and cash‑flow projections in coordination with Directors, Project Managers and the Financial Controller.
• Negotiate subcontractor packages and draft agreement letters.
• Analyse scope of work and interpret architectural and shop drawings for effective contract administration.
• Monitor project costs, produce financial reports and cost‑history analyses for budgeting and negotiations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction contract management and tender processes.
• Strong understanding of commercial aspects of contracts, variations and progress payments.
• Ability to work closely with project teams, clients and subcontractors across multiple locations.
• Experience preparing budgets, cash‑flow forecasts and financial reports.
