Resident Architect

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking a qualified Resident Architect to provide on‑site architectural supervision for construction projects in Singapore. The role involves ensuring that all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements and statutory regulations while collaborating closely with consultants, contractors and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect architectural works to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications and contract terms.
• Monitor construction progress, workmanship of finishes and installations, and report defects or non‑conformances.
• Provide technical guidance during construction and coordinate issue resolution with consultants and contractors.
• Review shop drawings, material submissions and construction details from an architectural perspective.
• Maintain site records, prepare reports and support testing, inspections and handover activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Architecture recognised by the Singapore Board of Architects (BOA) and accredited for Resident Architect appointment.
• Minimum 4 years of architectural experience, including at least 2 years supervising similar construction works.
• Familiarity with local authority requirements, building regulations and statutory compliance matters.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, architectural detailing and building materials.
