Controller I – Business Control Sourcing

About the role

The Controller I – Business Control Sourcing acts as the finance business partner for Global Sourcing, focusing on material cost management, purchase price variance analysis, and governance of reference tools. This role ensures that sourcing decisions are financially sound, support cost‑saving initiatives, and translate into measurable P&L impact.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Global Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain Operations, Engineering and Business Unit Finance to provide financial guidance for sourcing strategies and supplier negotiations.
• Evaluate strategic sourcing initiatives, including multi‑year agreements and sole‑source versus multi‑source decisions.
• Establish and track target costs for products and components, comparing actual costs to targets and reflecting sourcing decisions in forecasts and financial reporting.
• Design, govern and report on the global procurement savings program, ensuring consistent methodology across spend categories.
• Own reference‑tools cost tracking, maintaining data accuracy, structure and ongoing updates.
• Report procurement financial performance, savings pipeline, year‑to‑date results and forecasts to Global Operations and senior leadership.
• Enforce savings validation standards and monitor commodity market trends in collaboration with commodity managers.

Required profile

• Strong finance background with experience in procurement or sourcing finance.
• Proven ability to partner with cross‑functional teams and influence financial decisions.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to data integrity.
• Experience in cost management, PPV analysis and tracking cost‑saving initiatives.
