About the role

We are seeking a motivated Cook to join Culina’s restaurant team in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to the highest culinary standards, while maintaining strict cleanliness and food‑safety protocols throughout the kitchen. This role supports efficient service by ensuring timely food preparation and delivery for our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and cook menu items as directed by the Sous/Head Chef.
• Assist in menu development, incorporating emerging food trends and new service concepts.
• Deliver prompt and efficient service through timely food preparation and accurate order fulfillment.
• Demonstrate and instruct junior cooks in food preparation, cooking techniques and plating.
• Compile food orders for the section, monitor quality and cost, and record stock, deliveries and waste.
• Execute standard recipes, cooking techniques and presentation consistently to ensure uniformity.
• Enforce controls to minimise food waste, pilferage and supply loss.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation, cleanliness and safety across all kitchen areas at all times.
• Ensure food storage areas comply with hygiene, health and safety policies.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar cook role.
• Culinary school certification or diploma is a plus, though practical experience and basic education are also considered.

Required skills

• Food preparation across appetizers, soups and main courses.
• Garnishing, arranging and plating of dishes.
• Checking freshness of ingredients prior to cooking.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and handling procedures.
• Cleaning of work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes and silverware.
• Stock, delivery and waste management.
