Corporate Communications Associate (12‑month contract)

About the role

GIC is seeking a talented storyteller to join its Corporate Affairs & Communications team on a 12‑month contract. You will help translate complex investment ideas into clear, engaging content for external stakeholders, including investors, media, and the public.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and publish thought‑leadership pieces across multiple formats (articles, research papers, speeches, multimedia).
• Collaborate with team members to amplify content via GIC’s platforms, social media, newsletters and external speaking engagements.
• Prepare senior leaders for external speaking opportunities and maintain briefing materials.
• Support programming for flagship events such as GIC Insights and contribute to key deliverables like the GIC Report.
• Assist with communications around deal announcements, ensuring accuracy and alignment with reputation objectives.
• Monitor media coverage, identify emerging issues and provide reputation‑risk counsel to investment teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, economics or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in financial or business journalism, editorial work, or corporate communications.
• Strong editorial foundation, intellectual curiosity and interest in long‑term investing and sustainability.
