Country Finance Controller – Costing & Business Partnering (Singapore)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced finance leader to head the Singapore finance function for a manufacturing business. The role blends financial control, commercial partnering and team leadership, working closely with senior management to drive performance.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior business leaders to improve financial and operational performance.
• Provide commercial insights on sales, margins, pricing, cash flow and investment proposals.
• Manage planning cycles, including budgets, forecasts and long‑term financial plans.
• Monitor results against targets, highlighting gaps and business risks.
• Own financial closing, management reporting and regional submissions.
• Partner with shared services to ensure accurate, timely financial information.
• Oversee internal controls, tax, audit and broader compliance requirements.
• Manage working capital, capital expenditure, inventory and fixed‑asset reporting.
• Support finance‑related regulatory matters and cross‑functional initiatives.
• Lead, develop and mentor the local finance team.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Chartered Accountant or ACCA qualification.
• 10+ years of progressive finance experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing or similarly complex operational environment.
• Comfortable working with large‑scale ERP platforms.
• Proven responsibility for managing and developing finance staff.
• Strong communication skills with confidence to present insights to senior management.
• Singapore citizen or PR.
