Crane Operator

About the role

Toll Group is seeking an experienced Crane Operator to join its logistics team. You will be responsible for safely moving and positioning truck‑mounted and all‑terrain mobile cranes across various sites, supporting the transport of essential goods.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate and drive truck or all‑terrain mobile cranes between points of operation.
• Set up and position cranes, ensuring they are ready for use.
• Operate telescopic cranes, including mid‑range units of 200 ton capacity or higher.
• Conduct pre‑operation checks on cranes, gears, and related equipment.
• Follow approved safe work procedures and lifting plans.
• Coordinate closely with lifting teams and clients.
• Report equipment defects, unsafe conditions, or incidents promptly.
• Maintain and update log sheets and assist with routine maintenance of cranes and tools.

Required profile

• Valid Class 5 driving permit and current crane operating licence or certification.
• Minimum five years of crane‑operation experience, preferably in marine, offshore, or port environments.
• Experience with telescopic cranes and, optionally, as a Lifting Supervisor.
• Willingness to work irregular or outside hours when required.
• Commitment to HSE policies and statutory safety regulations.
