Cyber Security Director

About the role

MetaComp is seeking a Cyber Security Director to lead its security engineering, operations and technology risk functions. You will define and execute a cyber‑defence strategy that meets stringent regulatory standards such as MAS TRM, HKMA, PDPA and GDPR, while driving compliance programmes like SOC 2 and PCI‑DSS.

Key responsibilities

• Define security reference architecture, IAM strategy, application and data security controls, and detection‑engineering standards across cloud and enterprise environments.
• Manage MDR services, threat‑intelligence, vulnerability management and red/purple‑team exercises to strengthen detection and response.
• Maintain policy frameworks, ensure regulatory and industry compliance (MAS TRM, HKMA, PDPA, GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI‑DSS) and oversee audits and third‑party risk.
• Develop a multi‑year security roadmap, optimise tooling and vendor portfolio, secure resources and report risk narratives to senior leadership.

Required profile

• 12+ years in information security with at least 5 years leading multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Proven experience in regulated financial services (banking, payments, fintech) managing tech‑risk, operational resilience and data‑privacy programmes.
• Strong incident‑leadership skills, able to coordinate complex investigations and post‑incident remediation.

Required skills

• Zero Trust architecture, DevSecOps, cloud security (AWS, OCI).
• SIEM, EDR, SOAR platforms, IAM/PAM solutions, DLP and data‑protection controls.
• Threat‑intelligence, vulnerability management, red‑team/purple‑team exercises.
• Compliance frameworks: MAS TRM, HKMA, PDPA, GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI‑DSS.
