Software Development Engineer in Test

About the role

Join Plaud’s Global Product R&D Center as a Software Development Engineer in Test, focusing on server‑side and AI system quality. You will own end‑to‑end testing for core services, AI search/recommendation engines, and model releases, ensuring reliability and performance at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Execute functional, performance, stability, and compatibility testing for core server modules such as user management and billing.
• Lead API regression, data‑consistency checks, and service‑degradation drills during architecture upgrades.
• Define evaluation strategies and quality gates for AI recommendation/search systems, retrieval/memory components, and AI agents.
• Develop and maintain automated testing tools, scripts, and CI/CD pipelines for AI model releases and agent testing.

Required profile

• Experience testing large server‑side architecture refactors, microservices, and message queues.
• Background testing LLM/Embedding/RAG/Agent products and familiarity with vector‑retrieval systems.

Required skills

• Automation frameworks: Selenium, Playwright, Pytest.
• Container orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker.
• Vector‑search technologies: Elasticsearch, Faiss, Milvus.
• Inference frameworks: vLLM, Triton.
• Scripting and CI/CD pipeline integration.
