Cybersecurity Lab Manager

About the role

The School of Computing at the National University of Singapore seeks a Manager to support the Director of its Cybersecurity Lab. The role involves overseeing day‑to‑day administrative operations, financial management, and event coordination for a research environment that collaborates with external agencies on AI and cybersecurity projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative assistance to the Director, including scheduling, correspondence, and meeting preparation.
• Maintain lab records, manpower listings, and documentation; liaise with NUS administrative offices and external stakeholders.
• Support onboarding of research staff, students, and interns (access, seating, induction).
• Monitor the lab’s budget, track expenditures, process claims, payments, and reimbursements, and prepare audit and grant‑reporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with grant conditions and flag any financial issues.
• Manage procurement of equipment and services, and keep asset/inventory records up to date.
• Plan and coordinate logistics for seminars, workshops, visits from collaborators, government agencies, and industry partners.
• Assist with content for the lab’s website and publicity materials; perform ad‑hoc duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a research, university, or grant‑funded setting.
• Prior experience handling budgets, claims, or financial administration.
• Experience organising events, seminars, or workshops.
• Strong organisational abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to work independently.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
