Data Analyst – Manufacturing & Quality Insights

About the role

The Data Analyst will enable data‑driven decision‑making across quality and manufacturing operations at Advanced Energy. You will explore, clean, and model structured and unstructured data from multiple factory systems to support predictive failure analysis and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate discovery sessions with business users to capture processes, data needs, and problem statements.
• Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from systems such as RMA, testing, SPC, and MES.
• Perform statistical analysis, trend studies, and correlation assessments to identify patterns and root causes.
• Build analytical and predictive models for anomaly detection and failure pattern identification.
• Develop dashboards and visual reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
• Present insights and analytical summaries to stakeholders in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
• Collaborate with engineering, test, and MQE teams to translate business needs into analytics requirements.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
• Experience in manufacturing, operations, or quality analytics is a plus.
• Ability to work with senior‑level business stakeholders.
• Exposure to data‑engineering concepts (ETL, pipelines, data modeling) is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis.
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.
• Experience with dashboarding tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools and workflow orchestration.
• Knowledge of big‑data frameworks (Spark, Hadoop) or cloud analytics platforms (Azure, Databricks).
• Use of Jira, Confluence, SAP S4 (data tables), Power Apps, Power Automate, and UiPath.
