Data Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to support and enhance our data platform. The role involves daily operational monitoring, troubleshooting, and collaboration with infrastructure and product teams to deliver reliable data services. The position will also contribute to cloud transformation initiatives and provide technical consultancy to business users.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and recover data pipeline jobs, handle error notifications, and test pipelines.
• Investigate and resolve incidents such as connectivity failures, API timeouts, and service outages.
• Document changes to data sources, pipelines, and accounts.
• Research, propose, and document technical requirements for new data solutions.
• Review and remediate security vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with the infrastructure team on data‑related requests.
• Support product managers in cloud transformation journeys for data products.
• Provide technical support and consultancy to business users.
• Develop reports to monitor usage, performance, and security events.
• Generate mock data and create unit tests.
• Set up and maintain DevOps pipelines.
• Optimize performance of data pipelines.
• Ensure data pipelines comply with data management standards, policies, and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Science, Software Engineering or IT Infrastructure.
• Proficiency in developing dashboards (QuickSight or Tableau) and dashboard UX design.
• Strong SQL scripting skills for data analysis, transformation and integration.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Ability to work independently under time constraints and changing priorities.
• Singaporean or PR status preferred.
