Solution Architect

About the role

Hitachi Rail Singapore is looking for an enthusiastic Solution Architect to design and deliver end‑to‑end technology solutions for asset management and predictive maintenance. You will translate business needs into scalable, secure, high‑performance architectures and provide technical leadership across the solution lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end solution architecture across applications, data platforms, infrastructure and cybersecurity.
• Define application and data architectures, integrating analytics and predictive models.
• Establish cloud, on‑premise and hybrid infrastructure strategies ensuring scalability, availability and cost efficiency.
• Embed cybersecurity principles (IAM, data protection, secure design) into all solution layers.
• Design system integration using APIs, data pipelines and interoperability frameworks.
• Enable data and analytics capabilities for predictive and data‑driven use cases.
• Provide technical leadership throughout design, build, deployment and operation phases.
• Ensure governance, compliance with architecture standards and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in software development and solution architecture with a proven track record of delivering scalable technology solutions.
• Strong experience across application, data platform and IT infrastructure layers.
• Hands‑on knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid architectures.
• Experience with containerisation, orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and micro‑services.
• Familiarity with DevOps/MLOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
