Desktop Engineer

About the role

NCS is seeking a Desktop Engineer to provide first‑ and second‑level technical support to end users across its Asia‑Pacific operations. You will be responsible for troubleshooting incidents, coordinating with internal and external teams, and ensuring service continuity during both routine operations and seasonal exercises.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑ and second‑level technical support, independently resolving incidents.
• Handle high‑priority incidents, providing timely solutions and updates to users.
• Coordinate escalated incidents with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders.
• Support seasonal exercises, ensuring connectivity, application readiness, and managing live‑exercise escalations.
• Conduct ad‑hoc hardware and software testing, sharing workarounds and solutions.
• Process service requests within SLA, gather required information, and advise on impact assessments.
• Perform folder management tasks (creation, deletion, modification) based on user requests.

Required profile

• Higher Nitec or equivalent qualification with at least 2 years of End‑User Computing (EUC) experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Meticulous, able to multitask effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Team‑oriented yet capable of independent work.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation.
