Research Fellow in AI and Multimedia Security

About the role

The Singapore Institute of Technology, within its ICT Cluster, seeks a Research Fellow for a 1‑year fixed‑term AI Singapore‑funded project focused on copyright protection for AI‑assisted creative content. The role involves developing robust watermarking techniques for visual media produced by deep learning models.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research on robust watermarking for deep learning models and AI‑generated visual content, including video and other temporal media.
• Publish findings in top‑tier conferences and journals, and present research outcomes.
• Maintain and update research documentation, code, and the Python programming platform.
• Contribute to project deliverables, reports, and collaborate with project partners.
• Assist with student training and project‑related administrative matters.

Required profile

• PhD in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Research experience in deep learning model watermarking, media watermarking, or AI security.
• Strong technical paper writing skills with a record of submissions/publications.
• Self‑motivated, able to deliver results within a fixed timeframe, and good communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with PyTorch and related machine learning libraries.
