Director of Communications & Public Relations (Energy Tech)

About the role

The Director of Communications & Public Relations will shape and execute the global brand and communications strategy for a fast‑growing climate and energy technology company. Reporting to the Global VP of Marketing, the role focuses on expanding brand equity and media presence across international markets, especially in Asia and Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve global brand positioning, identity, messaging and voice, ensuring consistent execution across all markets.
• Develop and implement a worldwide public‑relations strategy to increase brand awareness, credibility and share of voice.
• Build and maintain relationships with Tier‑1 media, industry analysts and influencers; lead media outreach, press releases and executive communications.
• Own internal and external corporate messaging, create frameworks for PR, social media, campaigns and major corporate announcements.
• Oversee social‑media strategy and content to drive audience growth and engagement.
• Partner with senior executives to enhance their thought‑leadership visibility.
• Design and maintain a proactive crisis‑communications plan and lead communications during reputational issues.

Required profile

• Senior communications, PR or brand professional with a proven track record in high‑growth technology, energy, climate‑tech or pre‑IPO environments.
• Strategic thinker who can also execute hands‑on, collaborating closely with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
• Experience shaping global narratives and supporting major corporate milestones such as IPO‑related announcements.
• Strong understanding of international markets, particularly Asia (including Japan) and Europe.
