Director, Product Management - Tokenization

About the role

The Director, Product Management – Tokenization will shape the strategic vision, roadmap and commercialization of tokenization solutions across Mastercard’s digital payment ecosystem. This senior leader will drive the development, deployment and scaling of tokenization capabilities that enhance payment security, enable seamless digital experiences and support ecosystem partners.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the tokenization product strategy aligned with business objectives and market opportunities.
• Develop and maintain a multi‑year product roadmap for payment tokenization services.
• Identify emerging trends, regulations and competitive developments impacting tokenization and digital payments.
• Lead end‑to‑end product lifecycle from ideation through launch and continuous optimization.
• Partner with technology, operations, risk and architecture teams to design scalable tokenization solutions.
• Establish product requirements, business cases, go‑to‑market plans and success metrics.
• Develop business cases and revenue models, drive adoption among issuers, acquirers, merchants, wallets and fintech partners.
• Support sales and business development teams in client engagements and solution positioning.
• Monitor KPIs related to adoption, revenue, transaction growth and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading product management for tokenization or digital payment solutions.
• Proven ability to define strategy, prioritize roadmaps and make investment decisions based on market potential.
• Strong collaboration skills with issuing and acquiring partners, card schemes, digital wallet providers, merchants, fintechs and internal technology, risk and compliance teams.
• Track record of delivering secure, scalable products that achieve commercial success.
