Early Career Quality Engineer – Security Server Applications

About the role

Apple’s Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) organization is looking for an early‑career Quality Engineer to help ensure the reliability and security of server‑side applications that support billions of devices worldwide. You will work closely with software development and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to embed quality throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain quality‑assurance processes for distributed services.
• Drive quality‑related development work across multiple projects.
• Collaborate with development and SRE teams to understand business logic, security aspects, and production environments.
• Create and evolve automation roadmaps for complex services.
• Advance test strategies and contribute to continuous‑integration pipelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 1‑3 years of relevant experience in software quality engineering.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• TestNG, JMeter, Selenium (or similar test automation frameworks).
• Data‑Driven Testing and Behaviour‑Driven Development frameworks.
• REST API fundamentals and testing concepts.
• Unix/Linux environments.
• Relational and NoSQL database technologies.
• Security concepts: PKI, X.509, ASN.1, key‑exchange and authentication protocols.
