Engineering Manager, APAC & EMEA Cards

About the role

Stripe is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the APAC & EMEA Cards team, which processes hundreds of billions of dollars in card payments each year. You will shape the strategy and technical direction for card payments across Asia‑Pacific, Europe and the Middle East, helping merchants expand globally.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive Stripe’s card payments strategy for APAC and EMEA in partnership with senior leadership.
• Mentor and develop engineers, supporting their career growth and technical excellence.
• Ensure the team delivers high‑quality, reliable, and simple payment solutions at scale.
• Manage processes and cross‑team collaboration to maximize productivity.
• Contribute to company‑wide engineering initiatives as part of the management team.
• Partner with recruiting to attract top engineering talent.

Required profile

• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of engineering management experience.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects and influence technical decisions.
• Strong communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.

• Experience with payments‑related products or services.
