Engineering Manager – Singpass

About the role

The Singpass team at GovTech builds Singapore’s national digital identity system, delivering secure authentication, data sharing, and corporate identity solutions. As an Engineering Manager, you will lead the Data Platform team that powers these services, ensuring reliable, scalable, and secure data operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and architecture reviews to deliver scalable, secure solutions.
• Set technical direction in collaboration with Product, Design, and other stakeholders.
• Balance new feature delivery with technical sustainability, maintainability, and risk mitigation.
• Drive delivery excellence using operational metrics, incident trends, and DataOps signals.
• Build and support a high‑performing, lean engineering team.
• Cultivate a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading engineering teams in a data‑intensive environment.
• Strong technical judgment and ability to guide design and architecture trade‑offs.
• Collaborative mindset to work closely with product, UX, and other stakeholders.
• Data‑driven approach using metrics to improve delivery velocity and system reliability.
