Food & Beverage Service Executive (Long Bar)

About the role

Raffles Hotel Singapore, a historic 19th-century hotel, is hiring a Food & Beverage Service Executive for its Long Bar, where the Singapore Sling was first created in 1915. The role supervises team members and helps the outlet manager run the bar efficiently and profitably, meeting guests' expectations and the outlet's financial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent, high-quality service to all guests according to hotel standards, greet guests warmly and remember their names and preferences.
• Take orders accurately, double-check them before sending tickets to the kitchen, and record seat cover positions and allergens in the Point of Sale system.
• Offer menu options, advise on drinks and cocktails, and upsell products.
• Set up and run the assigned bar station, keep it stocked, polish silver and glassware, and keep tables and side stations clean.
• Verify guest satisfaction, pick up checks, and deliver checks and reports at the end of the shift.
• Follow opening and closing duties, and carry out ad hoc tasks such as cleaning equipment, exchanging linen, stock counts and requisitions.
• Mentor and train colleagues, guide new hires, and ensure fire safety, hygiene and NEA compliance.
• Handle minor complaints, keep guest information confidential, and use a Heartist approach to make guests feel welcome and valued.
