Full Stack AI Engineer (Contract)

About the role

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is building a Gen AI team to create next‑generation applications for the financial sector. As a Full Stack AI Engineer on a contract basis, you will design and deliver production‑grade web applications that integrate large language models and autonomous AI agents, supporting MAS’s governance and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop robust, scalable web applications that enable autonomous AI agents using frameworks such as LangGraph.
• Build responsive user interfaces for monitoring, controlling, and interacting with AI agents.
• Implement search and retrieval services backed by Elastic and Redis, including data ingestion pipelines and vector indexing.
• Create dashboards, configuration panels, and monitoring tools for MAS officers.
• Optimize performance through caching, request queuing, and load‑balancing to handle heavy AI workloads.
• Ensure security, authentication, authorisation, and audit logging comply with MAS regulatory standards.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience as a full‑stack developer delivering enterprise‑grade applications.
• Proven ability to build high‑performance, scalable, and secure systems.
• Experience working in regulated or financial‑services environments is a plus.

Required skills

• Python with FastAPI and Django.
• JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Frontend frameworks: React, Vue.js or Angular.
• RESTful API design and integration.
• Database integration with PostgreSQL.
• Search technologies: Elastic, Redis.
• AI framework experience, e.g., LangGraph.
