General Accounting Analyst

About the role

The General Accounting Analyst will support Tapestry’s monthly US GAAP closing process and ensure accurate financial reporting across multiple regions. The role combines hands‑on accounting tasks with compliance and ad‑hoc project work, offering exposure to a global brand portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Support the US GAAP monthly closing process in S4 SAP.
• Generate closing deliverables and related reports.
• Perform inter‑company charge‑backs, reconcile balances and settle cash transactions.
• Prepare balance reconciliation files using Blackline.
• Process journal entries, including SG&A accruals, during month‑end.
• Maintain compliance with internal SOX controls.
• Provide statutory audit support under local GAAPs in SEA.
• Assist with indirect and direct tax filings and payments in SEA.
• Support inventory and payroll accounting closing tasks.
• Participate in ad‑hoc projects such as SAP enhancements, robotic automation, and tax compliance initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 3–5 years of experience in an Accounting/Finance department of a multinational or a professional accounting firm.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of S4 SAP general accounting and direct/indirect tax is a plus.
• Prior experience with a Big Four firm is advantageous.
