Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) Specialist to enhance AI discoverability and answer‑engine readiness across our digital ecosystem. The role will ensure that scientific, medical and brand content is structured, searchable and compliant for generative AI, conversational assistants and traditional search.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute GEO strategies to improve visibility on generative search, AI assistants and answer‑engine platforms.
• Translate classic SEO foundations into AI‑native optimisation, focusing on entity clarity, semantic structure, structured answers and topic authority.
• Assess web pages for technical SEO and GEO readiness, including crawlability, indexability, structured data, metadata, semantic HTML, internal linking and accessibility.
• Collaborate with web, content and compliance teams to convert high‑priority assets from PDFs or images into machine‑readable formats.
• Improve schema markup, structured data and content architecture to facilitate parsing by search engines and large language models.
• Define, monitor and report GEO performance indicators such as AI citations, answer‑engine visibility, query coverage and AI‑influenced engagement using GA4, Search Console and specialised GEO tools.
• Provide regular insights and recommendations to cross‑functional teams based on data analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Digital Marketing, Data Analytics or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in SEO, technical SEO, content optimisation, web analytics or digital marketing.
• Strong understanding of search‑engine crawling, indexing and ranking processes.
• Practical knowledge of generative AI search behaviour, answer‑engine dynamics and emerging GEO practices.
