Global Logistics, Warehouse & Packaging Category Leader

About the role

The Global Logistics, Warehouse and Packaging Category Leader will drive the strategy, sourcing, and cost management for all logistics, warehouse and packaging spend. This senior position works closely with cross‑functional teams, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient, cost‑effective procurement across air, parcel, ocean and LTL transportation modes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for air, parcel, ocean and LTL transportation aligned with business goals.
• Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify cost‑saving opportunities and process improvements.
• Identify, evaluate and onboard reliable suppliers while maintaining executive‑level relationships.
• Lead sourcing, RFQ development and contract negotiation for logistics, warehouse and packaging requirements.
• Manage contract lifecycles, renewals and ensure optimal terms for the organization.
• Drive year‑over‑year cost reductions and mitigate inflation impacts.
• Oversee data analysis, reporting and spend visibility to support strategic decisions.
• Manage freight payment and audit providers to maximize value.
• Evaluate distribution centre effectiveness and act as functional expert for assigned categories.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field.
• Progressive leadership experience in logistics procurement; packaging experience is a plus.
• Strong negotiation, leadership and cross‑functional collaboration abilities.
• Self‑starter with the capacity to prioritize, multitask and own projects with minimal oversight.
