Graduate Actuarial Consultant – Life Insurance (2026)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated graduate to join KPMG’s Actuarial Services team in Singapore. The role focuses on providing actuarial consulting for life‑insurance clients, supporting audits, IFRS 17 projects and strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in actuarial audits and advisory work for direct insurers and reinsurers.
• Support IFRS 17 engagements, including gap assessments, financial impact analysis, testing, model enhancements and parallel‑run reviews.
• Contribute to fund reviews, internal actuarial audits, peer reviews and expense studies.
• Participate in M&A due‑diligence, business planning, projection and strategy projects.
• Build and maintain actuarial models using Prophet and Excel to aid decision‑making.
• Advise clients on accounting, regulatory changes, claims, pricing, reserving optimisation and market studies.
• Help prepare business‑development materials such as proposals and presentations.
• Collaborate with KPMG offices worldwide.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication of complex concepts.
• Effective time‑management and ability to handle multiple assignments.
• Willingness to pursue professional actuarial examinations (SOA, IFoA or Actuaries Institute of Australia).

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel/VBA.
• Experience with SAS, SQL and R.
• Familiarity with Prophet actuarial modelling software.
