Help Desk Technician – IT Support

About the role

The Help Desk Technician provides technical support to end‑users across the organization, handling hardware and software issues, performing repairs, and delivering preventive maintenance. The role ensures smooth operation of the MIS department and assists users in Singapore and remote satellite locations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist daily MIS operations, including problem determination, evaluation, and correction.
• Provide phone system support and manage global user ticket entry.
• Deliver desktop support for Singapore users (operating systems, applications, hardware, external devices).
• Offer remote support for satellite sites in the US, Asia, Europe, and South America.
• Handle procurement and vendor relationships for required hardware and software.
• Perform additional tasks as needed based on strengths and capabilities.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in an MIS support or similar technical support role.
• Experience in a PC‑software based information systems environment with a focus on troubleshooting.
• Manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Correctable vision of 20/40 and ability to read a monitor for 90 consecutive minutes.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and sit/stand for at least 90 minutes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent (experience may substitute).
• Fluent English.
