HR Compliance Associate

About the role

The HR Compliance Associate will support Tencent’s Asia Pacific business by ensuring that people practices align with local employment laws and internal governance, with a primary focus on Singapore. Working closely with HR partners, business leaders and legal teams, you will help maintain compliance, manage employee‑relations cases and support audit activities across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure compliance with Singapore employment legislation, including the Employment Act, Employment of Foreign Manpower Act and Ministry of Manpower regulations.
• Partner with country HR teams to track regulatory changes and translate them into practical process updates.
• Assist senior HR and Legal colleagues with employee‑relations casework: intake, evidence collection, interview scheduling, documentation and follow‑up while maintaining confidentiality.
• Respond to compliance and employee‑relations enquiries from employees, managers and HR Business Partners, facilitating fair resolutions.
• Maintain audit‑ready HR records such as contracts, policy acknowledgements, disciplinary and grievance files.
• Support internal and external audits, labour compliance reviews and HR governance activities by assembling evidence and tracking remediation actions.
• Contribute to periodic policy reviews and risk assessments, ensuring alignment with Tencent global standards and local legal requirements.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Singapore employment legislation and regulatory environment.
• Experience handling confidential employee‑relations matters and audit‑related documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with HR, legal and business stakeholders across multiple countries.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
