Infrastructure Engineer III – Checkpoint Firewall

About the role

Join a leading global financial institution as an Infrastructure Engineer III, focusing on enterprise firewall infrastructure. You will leverage advanced technical knowledge and AI‑assisted tools to ensure secure, resilient, and high‑performing network services.

Key responsibilities

• Apply technical expertise to moderate‑scope projects, improving data and systems at scale while ensuring end‑to‑end monitoring.
• Utilize enterprise‑authorized AI capabilities for monitoring, capacity analysis, and documentation, handling operational data with strict security requirements.
• Design, implement, and manage enterprise firewall solutions using Check Point, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Tufin policy orchestration platforms.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for device provisioning and operational tasks, establishing engineering standards and technical artifacts.
• Create implementation and operational documentation and serve as the escalation point for Network Operations and Service Delivery teams.
• Apply reuse‑first, AI‑assisted approaches to identify recurring capacity risks, improve remediation workflows, and validate changes against resiliency and security expectations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or a related field.
• Formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering concepts.
• 3+ years of firewall and network security design, engineering, and implementation experience within a large enterprise.
• Deep knowledge of infrastructure engineering areas such as networking, hardware, databases, storage, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments.
• Proven experience using enterprise‑authorized AI tools to support engineering workflows, with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
• Ability to review and validate AI‑assisted recommendations before implementation and to escalate when uncertain.
• Extensive knowledge of at least one infrastructure technology and proficiency in scripting languages.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and experience operating across public and private clouds.
• Knowledge of DMZ and other network boundary security concepts.
