Instrumentation Engineer

About the role

Element is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer to support geotechnical instrumentation projects across major infrastructure works. The role involves on‑site installation, monitoring, and data management of sensors and equipment, ensuring accurate and timely test results with minimal supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit engineering documents for client approval and oversee on‑site sensor installation.
• Supervise site personnel, manage data processing, review, analysis, and report generation.
• Attend project meetings, control schedules, obtain permits, and commission monitoring systems.
• Design, plan, and coordinate geotechnical instrumentation projects, maintaining up‑to‑date health, safety, environmental, and quality documentation.
• Liaise with clients to resolve installation and monitoring issues, producing method statements, quality plans, calibration records, and data acquisition reports.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Geology recognized by the PE Board.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in major infrastructure projects, specifically in geotechnical instrumentation and site investigation.
• Proven ability to work independently while adhering to safety rules, company policies, and code of conduct.
