IT Security Officer

About the role

The IT Security Officer will protect Lenovo’s information assets by leading incident response, vulnerability management, and security governance activities. The role involves close collaboration with internal teams to ensure a security‑first culture and compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Track, manage, and escalate cybersecurity incidents and critical threat events.
• Conduct information‑security awareness training for staff.
• Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and cloud‑platform threat intelligence.
• Disseminate security advisories, threat‑intel reports, and patch recommendations to stakeholders.
• Participate in tabletop exercises, security risk‑management activities, audits and third‑party assessments.
• Perform vulnerability assessments using Tenable Nessus on applications, networking and computing devices.
• Analyze scan results, recommend remediation actions and track resolution status.
• Monitor security events on SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Cortex, Exabeam), perform triage and analysis.
• Onboard and scan devices before network connection to ensure cyber‑hygiene compliance.
• Conduct periodic security reviews to verify adherence to IT security policies, standards and controls.
• Recommend and implement security enhancements based on audit findings and tabletop exercises.
• Monitor and enforce secure configuration standards (CIS Hardening) across network, systems and endpoints.
