Japanese Restaurant Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Restaurant Supervisor to lead daily operations in a Japanese restaurant. The role involves ensuring smooth service, maintaining high standards of guest experience and food hygiene, and supporting the team to deliver authentic Japanese dining.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily service operations in line with Japanese restaurant standards and guest satisfaction goals.
• Collaborate with team members to foster a positive and productive work environment.
• Monitor and manage supplies to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Train, counsel and guide junior staff, ensuring they perform duties according to standards.
• Handle guest verbal complaints promptly and professionally.
• Apply Japanese guest service standards to deliver consistent dining experiences.
• Follow food hygiene regulations and company quality standards.
• Use basic computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook) for administrative tasks.
• Work efficiently under pressure during busy periods and manage unexpected situations.

Required profile

• WSQ Basic Hygiene Certificate.
• Minimum ‘O’ Levels education.
• At least 1 year of front‑of‑house experience in a Japanese restaurant or a similar role.
• Knowledge of Japanese guest service standards.
• Ability to handle guest verbal complaints professionally.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
