Market Architect, Technology-Engineering (SG & HK)

About the role

The Market Architect will define and lead the technology strategy and architecture roadmap for business and technology platforms across Singapore and Hong Kong. Reporting to the Architecture and Engineering leader, the role works closely with IT, Compliance, Legal, Risk, business leaders and external vendors to ensure scalable, secure and cost‑effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of business strategies, value chains, processes and pain points.
• Lead architecture discussions, balance modernization, new capabilities and platform improvements.
• Document current and target‑state architectures and present them in the Market solution design forum.
• Ensure market solutions align with LII APAC standards and the Global Architecture Review Board.
• Provide architectural guidance to stakeholders and influence policies, standards and governance frameworks.
• Collaborate with regional architects to define Target‑state / North Star architectures, focusing on TCO and capability considerations.
• Promote modern architectural patterns such as event‑driven architecture, observability, zero‑trust and data‑privacy principles.
• Prototype and assess cross‑platform solutions, including AI‑agentic frameworks and AI Harness engineering.
• Review major design proposals to ensure maintainability, flexibility, security, scalability and cost‑effectiveness.
• Drive a security‑first mindset across all market engagements.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading technology architecture initiatives in a matrixed, multi‑stakeholder environment.
• Strong ability to translate business objectives into technical solutions and roadmaps.
• Experience influencing policies, standards and governance at a portfolio level.
