Principal Engineer Integration & Yield

About the role

As a Principal Engineer in Integration & Yield at GlobalFoundries, you will lead the development, optimization and integration of semiconductor processes to improve yield, product performance and manufacturability across multiple product lines.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, resolve and continuously improve process integration and yield‑related issues.
• Drive end‑to‑end project management and advanced data analysis to support integration and yield objectives.
• Develop custom and derivative process solutions to meet evolving customer and product requirements.
• Provide technical leadership for complex integration challenges using deep device and process knowledge.
• Support new product development through module characterization and design‑rule creation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to reduce defectivity and address yield concerns.
• Design, develop and enhance test structures for rapid process characterization.
• Lead Continuous Improvement Plans, defect source library maintenance and defect trend analysis.
• Document processes, failure‑mode analysis, risk mitigation and detection strategies.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to strategic initiatives and technology road‑maps.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or related discipline.
• Extensive experience in semiconductor process integration and yield engineering.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Proven project leadership and ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
