QA Lead – Mechatronics

About the role

The QA Lead will drive quality excellence across NTS's Mechatronics business, leading the Quality Management System and managing customer quality performance while developing a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Quality Manager to ensure QMS compliance with ISO 9001 and customer requirements.
• Lead and develop a team of Quality Engineers and QA/QC Inspectors.
• Act as primary quality interface for customers, handling escalations and investigations.
• Drive continuous improvement, standardisation of processes, inspection plans and risk mitigation.
• Monitor key quality metrics such as PPM, yield, non‑conformances and cost of poor quality.
• Lead internal, customer and external certification audits.
• Support New Product Introduction, qualification activities and supplier quality improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing or related field.
• 7+ years of quality engineering/management experience in mechatronics or precision engineering.
• 3+ years leading quality teams with a proven track record of improvements.
• Strong experience with customer quality escalations, audits and corrective actions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• ISO 9001/QMS knowledge.
• Quality methodologies: 8D, 5 Why, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA/Gage R&R, Cp/Cpk, FAI.
• Technical expertise in mechatronic systems, precision assemblies, machining, sheet‑metal fabrication.
• Cleanroom experience (advantage).
