Operational Excellence Lead

About the role

The Operational Excellence Lead drives the site’s transformation by implementing Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies across production, engineering, maintenance, quality and supply chain. You will own the Operational Excellence roadmap and ensure measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, inventory and productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the site’s Operational Excellence roadmap and lead the annual Strategy Deployment cycle.
• Lead cross‑functional improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen to eliminate waste and improve productivity, quality and cost.
• Facilitate Value Stream Mapping sessions, Kaizen events, root‑cause analyses and problem‑solving workshops (3C, A3, DMAIC).
• Analyse operational data to prioritise initiatives and track benefit realisation and sustainability.
• Build site‑wide capability by training and coaching managers, supervisors and shop‑floor teams in Lean thinking and structured problem solving.
• Support leadership with performance management, daily management systems and act as a constructive challenger.
• Support digitalisation and automation initiatives and report progress to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Lean or Manufacturing Excellence within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of leading OpEx transformations with sustainable, double‑digit improvements.
• Strong analytical, coaching and stakeholder‑management skills; ability to influence without formal authority.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
