Process Engineer, Metrology

About the role

STMicroelectronics is looking for a Process Engineer specialized in Metrology to support the development and qualification of new semiconductor manufacturing processes. You will work closely with equipment teams, production lines and maintenance groups to ensure accurate measurements and high equipment uptime.

Key responsibilities

• Set up metrology recipes for new processes, tools, and equipment.
• Assist in equipment and measurement qualification activities.
• Monitor equipment performance using Statistical Process Control (SPC) and support failure analysis.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to improve uptime and resolve issues.
• Support production line troubleshooting and problem‑solving.
• Prepare and maintain clear procedures, specifications, and documentation.
• Contribute to training, automation and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Experience in Metrology, Manufacturing or Process Engineering.
• Strong teamwork, communication and problem‑solving abilities.

• Metrology measurement techniques.

• Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Design of Experiments (DOE).
