Project Manager – Cloud Migration to AWS

About the role

As a Project Manager for Cloud Migration at AvePoint, you will lead end‑to‑end migrations of on‑premises infrastructure and applications to Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will collaborate with solution architects, IT teams, business stakeholders, and cloud architects to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet security and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage cloud migration projects from on‑premises environments to AWS.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in alignment with business requirements.
• Work closely with solution architects, cloud architects, infrastructure teams, and vendors to execute migration strategies.
• Identify and mitigate risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and execute migration roadmaps for applications, databases, and data.
• Lead project teams in identifying dependencies, bottlenecks, and resource needs.
• Ensure compliance with AWS security standards, policies, and best practices.
• Communicate status, risks, and mitigation plans to senior management and stakeholders.
• Monitor post‑migration performance and optimize AWS infrastructure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience managing IT projects, preferably with large‑scale infrastructure migrations.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of both Agile and Waterfall project‑management methodologies.

• Amazon Web Services (AWS) services: EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM.
• Cloud migration planning and execution.
