Public Relations Account Executive

About the role

YAP Global is seeking a proactive Public Relations Account Executive to help shape the narrative for clients in the cryptocurrency, DeFi and Web3 space. You will craft compelling stories, manage media relationships and support the execution of PR campaigns for a diverse portfolio of blockchain‑focused organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Research and write press releases, news stories, articles, case studies and opinion pieces.
• Monitor media coverage and report results to internal teams and clients.
• Pitch client stories to strategic media outlets to increase coverage and awareness.
• Arrange interviews and editorial meetings with key journalists, both in‑person and remotely.
• Assist in developing creative ideas for PR campaigns and execute media strategies.
• Act as the liaison between clients and media, representing client interests as needed.
• Analyse PR coverage and produce written wrap‑up reports.

Required profile

• Legal right to work in Singapore.
• 1‑2 years of experience or academic background in Public Relations, Communications or Journalism.
• Strong organisational, multi‑tasking and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Interest or knowledge of fintech, blockchain or cryptocurrency.
• High motivation, ability to work independently under pressure and a strong news sense.
• Creative, strategic thinking and willingness to build media contacts.
• Comfort with meme‑based communication and engaging with community archetypes.
