Research Associate – Social Science & Health Behaviour

About the role

The Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information at Nanyang Technological University is seeking a Research Associate to support the project “Transforming Health Behaviour Insights through AI‑Driven Segmentation Models.” The role focuses on the social‑science components of a large‑scale lifestyle and values survey across Singapore’s adult population.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews and assist in manuscript preparation.
• Coordinate with vendors to implement and oversee surveys involving approximately 5,000 participants.
• Perform data cleaning, uploading, and management.
• Carry out statistical analyses of survey data.
• Engage with participants and stakeholders throughout the project.
• Contribute to research publications, presentations, and progress reports.
• Support administrative tasks related to the project and team.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in communication, psychology, public health, behavioural sciences or a related social‑science discipline.
• Experience with large‑scale survey research and quantitative data analysis.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multicultural team.
• Strong initiative and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SPSS.
• Proficiency in MPLUS.
• Proficiency in R.
• Quantitative data analytical skills.
