Senior Associate / Assistant Manager – Indirect Tax (GST)

About the role

KPMG Singapore is seeking experienced tax professionals to join its GST advisory team. The role focuses on helping clients navigate Singapore's Goods and Services Tax (GST) landscape, delivering compliance support and strategic advice to optimise tax outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on GST treatment for a variety of transactions, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
• Conduct GST health checks on client returns and review compliance processes to identify risks and opportunities.
• Prepare and review GST return worksheets and filings before submission to the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS).
• Support GST consultancy projects, including assisting clients with GST ruling applications to IRAS.

Required profile

• University degree or postgraduate qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business or Law.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant GST experience for Senior Associate level; 5 years for Assistant Manager level.
• SCTP accreditation is a plus.
• Strong research, analytical and report‑writing abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with a client‑centric mindset.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Singapore GST regulations and compliance procedures.
• Ability to analyse complex transactions and provide clear tax advice.
• Experience preparing GST returns and interacting with IRAS.
