Senior Audit Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a meticulous Senior Audit Specialist to join our Finance team. In this role you will protect the integrity of financial reporting by reviewing statements, ensuring regulatory compliance, and acting as a liaison between internal departments and external auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify periodic financial statement data, cross‑checking for anomalies and ensuring sufficient audit evidence.
• Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams to stay updated on financial regulations and provide guidance to Accounting.
• Assist the Head of Audit in planning and coordinating external audits, managing preparation and information requests.
• Evaluate internal governance processes against risk‑management frameworks and regulatory requirements, recommending improvements.
• Coordinate with external tax agents on annual tax calculations and resolve tax‑related matters for accurate reporting.
• Perform ad‑hoc assignments as directed by the line manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, CIA, or equivalent is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in external audit, internal audit, financial due diligence, or related areas.
• Experience within finance teams of financial institutions is an advantage.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin to communicate with APAC stakeholders.
