Senior Community Manager – APAC (Remote)

About the role

Scape, a Swedish game studio, is launching its first multiplayer title, Gravity, on Steam Early Access. We are looking for a Senior Community Manager to build and nurture our community across the APAC region, with a primary focus on mainland China. This remote, full‑time position will join the team around launch and shape the community from its first thousand members.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the community strategy for APAC, setting tone and daily presence across all channels.
• Manage official Chinese platforms such as Bilibili, Douyin, WeChat, QQ, and the Steam community in Simplified Chinese.
• Coordinate with creators, streamers, and the commercial team to organise live play sessions, AMAs, and developer Q&As.
• Build and lead a volunteer moderator program sourced from the most engaged players.
• Monitor community health, identify emerging issues, and follow a clear escalation process.

Required profile

• Based in mainland China with deep knowledge of local social and streaming platforms.
• Fluent in spoken Mandarin and written Simplified Chinese; English proficiency is mandatory.
• Experience running community operations for a live game through launch or rapid growth phases.
• Understanding of Chinese platform onboarding, real‑name verification, and content‑review regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Bilibili, Douyin, WeChat, QQ, and Steam community tools.
• Strong bilingual communication (Mandarin and English) for both written and spoken interactions.
