Senior Golang Engineer – Platform Team

About the role

Workato is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Platform team. You will work on a large‑scale system that blends a Ruby on Rails monolith with a growing suite of Go microservices, delivering enterprise‑grade features for the company’s AI execution platform.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain business logic, on‑premise features, authentication, caching, work queuing, and APIs.
• Design, develop, and operate Go microservices with a focus on correctness, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure and SRE teams to meet high‑availability requirements.
• Contribute across all phases of the development lifecycle, writing well‑designed, testable, and efficient code.
• Evaluate existing systems and propose improvements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of solid backend development experience with Go.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Understanding of core web‑application components: databases, load balancers, application servers, message brokers, caching, and monitoring.
• Experience with distributed systems and familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices.
